My Personal Tips

To Remove Sharpie (permanent marker) from fabric-
Permanent marker works by leaving behind pigment
after the carrier solvent has evaporated. The best way
to reverse the process is to replace the carrier solvent,
and then wick the re suspended pigments away.
Sharpie brand marker relies on a form of alcohol as
the carrier. Use common isopropanol ("Rubbing Alcohol")
to restore the liquidity of the pigment, blot with WHITE
cloth or paper towel.

Instead of fabric softener- You can use white
vinegar in the washing maching instead of fabric
softener in the dryer.  Pour vinegar (to fill line)
into the fabric softener dispenser, OR pour to
fill line in the bleach dispenser.  Clothes will come
out super fluffy and no static cling.  Very cheap.

Saving on paper towels-I buy the kind that has
half sheet preforations. Take your serraded knife
and literally cut the entire roll in half. This makes
a "half roll" and in most cases the smaller paper
towel pieces work for little hands and little spills.

Fabric Softener-Cut the entire pack in half (if you
use liquid, this doesn't apply to you silly)

Dog & Cat Food-
Cut up any unused meat from what ever left-overs

that aren't overly seasoned. Boil oat meal and rice,
throw in chopped meat, add a dab of olive oil. This
is great for your dog, uses the left over food and
keeps your pocket jingling with a little extra change.

To Save Time Cleaning-
Find an empty spray cleaner bottle. Use 1 Tablespoon

bleach (scented is ok) to 32oz of water. Mark bottle
"Bleach Water" with Sharpie. I keep a bottle in each
bathroom. Every day after getting ready, I give a quick
spritz into sink, toilet, and tub.  This keeps surfaces
clean and fresh.*Do NOT spray grout, will remove
pigment even on white grout.

  1. I've been cutting fabric softener sheets in half for years and am an old hand at using rubbing alcohol to remove ink. I love the Bounce ideas! I save money on flavored oatmeal packets for my kids by buying quick oats in bulk whenever they are on sale, then buying sugar-free Torani syrups at the local Smart& Final or restaurant supply in flavors the kids like, so that they can choose what they want each day and flavor it themselves--without the added sugar.
